Four Teams Earn #AEMSOC Wins, Week #4 Awards Announced

BOSTON – Hartford, UMBC, NJIT and Stony Brook earned #AEMSOC wins over the weekend while  #18 UNH and Vermont played to a scoreless tie.   
 
Conference play continues this weekend with three games on the current schedule. The preseason poll and season details were announced on Feb. 10.
 
Fans will once again be able to watch the majority of #AEMSOC this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV. Those games will be available on computers, OTT devices and the brand new America East app, which is available on all IOS and Android devices and can be found by searching ‘America East Conference’ in app stores.

#AEMSOC Weekly Award Winners – March 16
Offensive Player of the Week
Nadav Datner, Hartford -
  • Scored twice, including the game-winner, in Hartford’s 3-2 double overtime victory over Binghamton on Sunday.
  • This is Datner’s first Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
Defensive Player of the Week
Nathan Silveira, Vermont – Sr., Goalkeeper, East Providence, R.I.
  • Made five saves in a shutout win over #18 New Hampshire.
  • This is Silveira’s first career Defensive Player of the Week season and second of his career.
Rookie of the Week
Aki Solvason, Stony Brook – Fr., Forward, Akureyri, Iceland
  • Scored in Stony Brook’s 2-0 win over NJIT.
  • This is Solvason’s first career Rookie of the Week honor.

March 9 – Offensive Player of the Week: Dario Cavada, Hartford; Defensive Player & Rookie of the Week: Rotem Fatida, Hartford
March 16 – Offensive Player of the Week: Nadav Datner, Hartford; Defensive Player: Nathan Silveira, Vermont; & Rookie of the Week: Aki Solvason, Stony Brook
